Michael K. Rollert, DDS, FAACS

After 24 years of group practice in Denver, Colorado, Dr. Michael Rollert started his own private practice, Rocky Mountain Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, in 2023.

Dr. Rollert graduated from Kansas State University in 1992, and the University of Missouri at Kansas City School of Dentistry in 1995.

He completed his oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at Virgina Commonwealth University (VCU) in 1999.

He is currently a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons and a Fellow of the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology. Dr. Rollert is also a Fellow in The American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery.

He has been in private practice in Denver, Colorado since the completion of his residency, and has served as an Associate Professor at the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Rollert is on the medical staff of Porter Adventist Hospital, Children’s Hospital of Colorado, Littleton Adventist Hospital, Swedish Medical Center, Rose Medical Center and Skyridge Medical Center.

Dr. Michael Rollert has published multiple articles in the Journal of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery (JOMS), contributed to the textbook “Anesthesia Complications in the Dental Office”, and chaired the most recent update of AAOMS parameters of Care, anesthesia in outpatient facilities. He is an invited speaker at conferences throughout the United States and Canada, lecturing on a range of topics to medical anesthesia providers, oral surgeons, dentists, and their staff.

Dr. Rollert has served on the AAOMS Committee on Anesthesia and has chaired the Committee on Continuing Education for the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology (ADSA). He has served in a variety of positions with ADSA, culminating as President of the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology for the 2017-2019 term. He still remains locally involved as a consultant to the Colorado Dental Board, and a member of the office anesthesia inspection committee.
